Show Abstract
The purpose of this work is to analyze the importance of relationships and interpersonal skills for the accountant in his entire work. As theoretical references, we used the propositions of Iudícibus, Martins and Gelbcke (2006), Marion (2009) and Sá (2004). The methodological background took a qualitative exploratory approach, based on in-depth semi-structured interviews. The results showed that interpersonal relationship has great importance in all that concerns to the accountant work, who needs to know, understand and put into a more suitable format for its users all the information he obtains. Additionally, is possible to assume that interpersonal skills improve professional performance by providing a clearest vision of the company by its accountant department.
