Show Abstract
This work reviews the literature focusing on the main elements related to trajectory dependence theory, as well as its possible influence on regional economic performance. In many regions the activities that are developed are linked to their economic-productive vocation, which, in most cases, are results of their dependence on regional trajectory. This dependence on trajectory may have influenced both the formation and constitution of economic agents and of the institutions included in that scenario, impacting in a differentiated micro-regional economic performance, that is, by making a regional evolutionary instance occur in a positive way, evidencing that the negative actions were able to evolve in a context of positive externalities, or, negative, generating a configuration that became inefficient with low dynamism over time.
