Analysis of academic research through bibliometric and sociometric indicators this widening and thereby becoming a trend to better understand and understand how to develop certain areas of knowledge, themes and even journals (NASCIMENTO; ODDONE, 2015). Before the context versa to following research question of this study: What is the profile and academic production of state of the art of the articles published by the magazine BASE Unisinos, 20042014? This pitch comes the aim of this study was: analyze the profile and academic production of state of the art of the articles published by the Revista de Administração e Contabilidade da Unisinos (BASE) from 2004 to 2014. For this we used bibliometrics and social network, highlighting the two-mode analysis. Regarding the two¬-mode network, it is emphasized that they understand the links between two different sets of actors; the term "mode" refers to specific types of actors. The main findings were: Ilse Maria Beuren stood out as the more academic degree centrality and betweenness. The Universidade de São Paulo (USP) was in evidence in this study to highlight the centrality stay of degree and betweenness. It emphasizes that the degree and betweenness, are measures of centrality, degree and intermediary respectively, both of which are key metrics that contribute to aggregate in social network analysis. However, observing the two-mode analysis of IES actors and authors, also found the prominence of the Universidade do Vale do Rio dos Sinos (Unisinos), besides USP, that is, they have the largest number of researchers linked respectively to them, contributing to the highlight of both the usefulness of articles published in the research journal. For the most published themes stood out: corporate governance, marketing, cost management, internationalization strategy and economic and financial indices, and the first four were also in evidence to visualize the two-mode network. That is, regarding the two-mode network and author of the themes, steeling the importance of these issues in the development of scientific production of the analyzed periodic and showing concern and the accuracy of this journal in the enlargement, development, processing, distribution, contribution and socialization not only these matters were raised and are essential for value creation in knowledge, but also the other issues, placing the mentioned journal as one of the main areas of Business Administration and Accounting in Brazil.
