Innovation Strategy and Management Model: The Case of Small Business Cachaça Producer Handemade Other Languages

Abstract:
The importance of entrepreneurship for the growth of small businesses is a consolidated topic in the literature, however, the longevity of these ventures is a controversial issue. A neoschumpterian perspective on this debate resides in the need to align innovation strategies with the management model. This study is positioned in this theoretical-empirical gap in order to analyze the alignment of the innovation strategy with the management model in a small company that produces artisanal cachaça. In this case study, the materials were collected through interviews, which were marked out by the BMC - Canvas. The results, extracted by the software IRAMUTEQ, were constructed from the analysis of similarity and frequency of words. The innovation strategy and the management model demonstrated alignment considering the company's structure to innovate, with an impact on the ability to meet new consumer and regulatory demands and to launch new products with greater added value.
