The period of training and the formation of professional competences in students of Administration
Resumo:
O objetivo geral do presente estudo compreende analisar como a prática do estágio se relaciona com a formação de competências profissionais de alunos do curso de Administração, de uma IES privada em Belo Horizonte - MG. Para atender a esse propósito, o modelo utilizado foi o de Paiva e Melo (2008), inspirado em Cheetham e Chivers (1998), que apresenta quatro atores sociais envolvidos na formação de competências profissionais: Instituições de Ensino,Estado, Instituições Coletivas e Organizações. Seu núcleo central é formado pelas competências intelectual, técnicofuncional, comportamental, ética e política. Esta pesquisa é um estudo de caso, tendo sido realizada a pesquisa documental e a pesquisa de campo, de natureza descritiva, com enfoque qualitativo. Foram analisados dados secundários e primários ligados ao conceito de formação de competências profissionais por meio da prática do estágio, e realizadas 12 entrevistas semi-estruturadas, mediante amostragem não probabilística intencional, com coordenadores do curso de Administração, alunos-estagiários, empresas concedentes de estágio, Agentes de Integração e Associação Brasileira de Estágios. A IES acredita ser seu papel formar competências profissionais, essencialmente as intelectuais. As organizações entrevistadas, de outro modo, acreditam que as competências técnico-funcionais são ensinadas diretamente aos estagiários no ambiente de trabalho. Demandam também, dos estagiários, a presença de competências comportamentais, éticas e políticas. A partir dos resultados, conclui-se também que o estágio, em Administração, é um mecanismo que permite a formação de competências profissionais, e contribui de maneira significativa para a inserção do aluno no mercado de trabalho.

The main objective of the present study analyzes how the period of training is related with the formation of professional competences of alumni of the graduation of Administration, in a private Institution of Graduate Education, situated in Belo Horizonte - MG. To take care of to this intention, the theoretical model was the Paiva and Melo (2008) model of Professional Competences, based on Cheetham and Chivers’ model (1998), that it presents four social actors involved in the formation of professional competences: Institutions of Education, State, Collective Institutions and Organizations. Its central nucleus is formed by the intellectual, technician-functionary, behavior, ethical and politics competences. This research is a case study, having been carried through the documentary and field research. It had a descriptive and explicative nature, with qualitative approach. It had been analyzed secondary and primary data on the concept of formation of professional competences in the period of training. For this, it was realized 12 half-structuralized interviews, in a intentional and not probabilistic sampling, with coordinators of the graduation of Administration, pupil-trainees, companied where the period of training was realized, Agents of Integration and Brazilian Association of Periods of training. The Institution of Graduate Education believes to be its role to form professional competences, essentially the intellectuals. The interviewed organizations, in another way, believe that the technician- functionaries competences are taught directly to the trainees in the work environment. They also demand, of the trainees, the presence of behaviorial, ethical and politics competences. From the results, one also concludes that the period of training, in Administration, is a mechanism that allows the formation of professional competences, and contributes in significant way for the insertion of the studentes in the work market.
