The aim of this study was to demonstrate the use of management control tools that help in decision-making in MEPs in São Caetano Sul. It is understood that in actuality, these instruments should be aligned with the reality of these organizations and the information extracted by these should be the basis for a decision that perpetuates the wealth of investors. The study was to anchor the premise that the use of management control tools have significant application in MEPs in the industrial city of Sao Caetano Sul The methodological procedure used in choosing the companies surveyed was the criterion of convenience, using the method of deductive reasoning by the application of a questionnaire to 296 companies. 18.6% of companies answered the questionnaire. Companies were classified according to the annual gross revenue established by the Federal Revenue. After analyzing the results, it was possible to detect about 41% of these organizations is more than 20 years in the market, which shows a good consolidation in the market. There is, also, that the entrepreneurs-managers have a strong higher education: 31.27% post-graduates and graduates 22.22%, which may be a gap in the management of such business. Finally, given the analysis performed, both the field of study as literature, it is concluded that decision-making in these companies is driven by the significant use of the tools of control, and they also have a good control of their business against what is expected.
