Assuming that the university has the essential mission of returning to society the knowledge that it originates, ideas sometimes come from the companies or sometimes from academia, bringing reflections to the tripod of teaching, research and extension of the University, thus boosting, new thinking and actions. This article addresses, through a case study in a Brazilian Public University, the ways in which the entrepreneurship culture has been disseminated and the actions in favor of undertaking the tripod teaching, research and extension that have been performed. The case study analyzes the dissemination program of culture and actions in favor of entrepreneurship at one of the campuses of the University of São Paulo called Entrepreneurship-School Program (E-E). Based on exploratory study, the article discusses the paths, the actors involved, the practices implemented and the results obtained to date, giving subsidies to an analysis and theoretical and practical reflection on the role and the ways of how a university, front of their limitations and opportunities, can teach, research and do entrepreneurship in its environment. In result, there is the report of the path practices that contribute to the demonstration that the addition of key actors, alternative paths and implementation of several parallel practices (open course, installation of an incubator, institutional formalization a program for the dissemination of a culture involving teachers, students and businesses in the same environment and application of specific entrepreneurship methodologies) are able to bring impacts on the academic environment.
