The enterprise analyzed was Clarice Eletrodomésticos (home appliances), a small and medium-sized business which acts in the industry and trading of home appliances segment. Its main products are gas cookers, wood burners, cooktops and semi-industrial cookers, besides, the enterprise also trades washing machines and air-conditionings. Clarice is located in the city of Pinhalzinho, in the West f the State of Santa Catarina; it was founded in 1960 and supplies both national and international markets. One of the problems faced by the business is the strong competitiveness, mainly, by the logistic difficulty in moving loads, which makes it is necessary to be more competitive in relation to the price strategies and diversification of the products portfolio. This case has as objective to analyze practices related to the international market (export and import) through the competitive scenario building and simulations of strategic decisions. It has been questioned which strategies should be implanted in order to the enterprise keep competitive in the international market and which strategies to open new markets. The subjects related to the theme underlying the case are: International Entrepreneurship, International Marketing, International Negotiation and Foreign Trade.
