Rural Tourism in the National Park Insurgente Miguel Hidalgo Y Costilla: Impacts and Strategies for Environmental Conservation

Abstract: This article aimed to analyze the social and territorial impact that tourism generates in the National Park Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla Insurgent (Mexico) in order to propose strategies for environmental conservation. Therefore, the communality was used as a framework for analysis of the impacts on the territory, resources, political structure, economic dynamics and cultural elements. It was determined that the activity has an impact on biophysical and socio-political elements; therefore, it is essential to formulate strategies for environmental conservation that give continuity to the ecosystem services and improve living conditions of the population.
