This article introduces and analyzes the result of research addressing the business performance of the Local Productive Arrangement of Information Technology RMBH-MG. The theoretical model of reference for the quantitative research was the Market Orientation, or Markor scale, proposed by Kohli, Jaworski (1993). 83 entrepreneurs, out of a total of 142 of the sector, as well as 04 leading business entities were investigated. The study shows that the technical support in the development of micro and small enterprises provided by SEBRAE generated better level of satisfaction in the construct "generation of intelligence" and the "reply to", in relation to "construct" dissemination of intelligence ". The construct "response to the market of the companies met" presented higher performance than the construct "dissemination of technological information". The project as a whole was well rated by entrepreneurs. Nomologicamente the theoretical model explains satisfactorily the project performance.

Innovation actions represent business efforts to identify adaptive and proactive strategies and actions forward to the complexity of the business environment in order to improve organizational performance. Also, it is necessary to considerate the organizational performance based on the three dimensions of sustainability (economic, social and environmental). This study investigates the relationship between innovativeness and sustainable organizational performance (social, economic and environmental) in processing industries of Rio Grande do Sul. The survey was conducted with the participation of 140 companies. Hypothetical relations were investigated and estimated using correlation analysis and linear regression analysis. Results suggest the existence of a significant and positive impact of innovativeness on the environmental, social and economic performances, with a major impact on the environmental dimension. Also the results suggest that there is a strong interrelationship between the three dimensions of sustainable organizational performance.

This study aimed to analyze the relationship between environmental pressures and strategic behavior of MSE belonging to a trade group for auto parts. Results of the survey conducted – and satisfactorily answered by 32 companies - showed the prevalence of the "analytical" generic strategy, composed of little more than half the sample, followed by the "defensive" strategy and finally, a smaller number of companies with "reactive" strategies according to the classification of strategic behavior of Miles and Snow. A cluster analysis effected from environmental pressures to which the companies are subject resulted in their grouping into three groups. In turn, the results of both the chi-square test as the confirmatory discriminant analysis did not show a strong dependency relationship between competitive strategies adopted by the companies surveyed and environmental pressures. To some extent, this conclusion corroborates the theory, since the universe surveyed (small and micro enterprises with mild to moderate degree of maturity), apparently is not the most fertile ground for the application of the conditions of the school's environmental strategy. Another possible explanation for this result also supported by the theory is that, even when their companies are subject to similar environmental pressures, each leader may interpret the environment individually, as suggested by the cognitive approach to strategy.

Brazil began 2013 year with the announcement of the Central Bank of Brazil (BCB) on whether to authorize the entry of new nineteen foreign banks. Moreover, there are barriers to entry in any market. They are structural and can be hardly changed by potential entrants. The research investigates what are the entry barriers the foreign banks will face in the Brazilian market. The theory indicated the barriers should be surveyed, and other specific barriers emerged from consultation with 112 experts from the banking market. They were divided into market barriers and institutional barriers. The research consulted in 2013 the national regulator bank (BCB) and 39 domestic and foreign banks. The analysis was descriptive and explanatory using factor analysis and logistic regression. For the analysis it was considered as dependent variable the type of bank (domestic or foreign), and as predictors variables the entry barriers. As a result, it was seen that the barriers of market are representative and the institutional barriers showed no significance, which shows the strength of the banking industry in Brazil.

The overall objective was to evaluate the technological elements that determine the results of the Brazilian Multinationals cooperability (MNB). Regarding research methodology, we carried out a survey among the universe of MNB, with a final sample of 60 companies answered a structured questionnaire. The quantitative data analysis was conducted using the software SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) version 17.0., Statistical tests were performed Cronbach's alpha, factor analysis, Correlation, the Principal Component and Multiple Regression. The results of the study showed the profile of the MNB and enabled the evaluation of the elements of the technological trajectory and technological inputs that affect the results of cooperability.

Small and midsize businesses are a number of restrictions on the market where they compete , they are caused by lack of resources or integration difficulties . For the company to develop and market in which it operates , highlights the role of the executive in the strategic process . This research investigation aims check for alignment between executive style and strategies and the impact of the performance of small and medium industries Mossley / RN . Methodologically , it is a descriptive study with data collection by surveying a structured and self-administered questionnaire , adapted from Håkonsson et al (2012 ) model was developed . Closed questions were asked , using Likert 5-point scale . The assumptions of the model were tested by Mann- Whitney test. It was found that the vast majority of companies presents a misalignment between the styles of business and enterprise strategy , the main type of misalignment : Style manager - analytical strategy . The general hypothesis , that the alignment between cognitive style and enterprise strategy leads to improved performance has been confirmed . The results corroborate the results obtained by Håkonsson et al (2012 ).

Despite importance of family agriculture, until the mid 90's, the Brazilian farmers had little or no access to credit and the existing public policies often do not meet the needs of this population. In 1996, the Brazilian government created the PRONAF - Program of Familiar Agriculture, first rural credit program designed exclusively for family farmers (FF) that despite numerous qualities, is facing challenges related to socio-cultural and psychosocial characteristics of farmers who do not always can incorporate the behaviors needed to be rural entrepreneurs (RE) in an industry that increasingly demand for innovation and development. This is the main objective of this study: to analyze the barriers faced by family farmers (FF) that affect its transformation into a rural entrepreneur (RR). To study these two groups, we interviewed and applied a structured questionnaire to a convenience sample, non-probabilistic, selected by the criterion of typicality of fourteen farmers who started their business in Southern Brazil. For these The analysis showed that the barriers to rural entrepreneurship were associated with lack of leadership and ability to take risks, and emphasized the importance of the family, social networks and formal education in the development of FF. We conclude that the FF can’t be regarded as typical Schumpeterian entrepreneurs, but some points have become critical to the implementation of public policies: a contingency approach; prioritize the targeting of resources to more entrepreneurial profiles; promote the objective and subjective evaluations of the results of resource allocation; strengthen training programs, management education and business incubators.

The objective of this study was to analyze the evolution of the entrepreneurial characteristics parting from Kuratko and Hodgetts (1995) studies over these characteristics, from 1848 to 1982, seeking to respond to questions about how they evolved over time? which characteristics remained? which disappeared? and which emerged? To this end, a bibliographic and bibliometric research from 1983 to 2014 was carried, complementing, amplifying and comparing the findings of the original research. The bibliographic survey was made based on the keywords Entrepreneur, Entrepreneurship, Entrepreneurial Characteristics, Entrepreneurial Attitudes and Entrepreneur Profile, and from the selection of articles published in the highest rated national journals according to the Qualis system, composed by Revista de Administração de Empresas - RAE, the Revista de Administração Contemporânea – RAC, the scientific events ENANPAD and EGEPE, and the EBSCO data base in order to access international scientific journals, namely: Applied Financial Economics; Applied Economics Letters; Management Research Review; Journal of Product Innovation Management; European Management Journal; Service Industries Journal; International Journal of Entrepreneurship & Innovation Management; Entrepreneurship: Theory & Practice; Journal of International Entrepreneurship; Management Decision; International Small Business Journal. This study characterized as bibliometrics, reviewed 288 articles published by 341 authors and points on their results to a lot more relational entrepreneurial profile, based on interpersonal and social skills and focused more on the demands of the external environment than on the self-centered, sovereign, autonomous and independent entrepreneur profile of the first phase of the twentieth century.
