Show Abstract
This study aims to analyze the relationship of cost, volume and profit in the production of sweets in a handcrafted candy company of Marechal Cândido Rondon. A literature review on the concepts of cost accounting, costing method and cost, volume and profit analysis was carried out. The methodology was classified as quantitative, of the descriptive type, the data for analysis were obtained through documentary research in the internal controls maintained by the company and as an adjunct to an interview with the administrator, using online spreadsheets to perform cost, volume and profit analysis and perception of the company's economic performance. The company had its products divided into four categories for the analysis, of these, the traditional sweets had more quantity sold, however, the chocolates were the highlights, having the best average prices and the highest contribution margin. The average performance of the company in the analyzed months was higher than its break-even point, when associated with its Leverage Degree, showing that the company has many possibilities for growth if it encourage the commercialization of its products of better performance. This study has information that can assist in the process of management control and decision making in craft candy companies.
