Risk management in new product development (NPD) projects is critical for organizations, especially in innovative markets such as fintechs. This work aimed to identify the main risk factors in NPD project management in digital banks, understanding how the relative importance of these factors changes when analyzed by professionals in different areas. A literature search was carried out, followed using the Delphi technique and the calculation of the Relative Importance Index, for 20 risk factors in NPD projects. These factors were the basis for the applied questionnaire and data analysis showed statistically significant differences in six risk factors. The main contribution of the article is to present a model with the most important risk factors related to new product project management and analyzes on the variation of this importance.
