An examination of certain antecedents of social entrepreneurial intentions among Mexico residents Other Languages

Abstract:
Objetivo – Esta pesquisa tem três objetivos. Primeiro, examinamos o papel dos valores sociais e sustentáveis como precursores da orientação à inovação social, levando em consideração o interesse nos retornos financeiros. Segundo, examinamos o papel da orientação à inovação social como antecedente da atitude empreendedora social. Terceiro, estudamos como a atitude, as normas subjetivas e a autoeficácia empreendedora influem na intenção de iniciar um empreendimento social entre residentes do México. Metodologia – Foram conduzidas 745 enquetes entre residentes de baixa renda do México que expressaram interesse em iniciar um empreendimento social. Usamos a modelação de equações estruturais para testar o modelo. Resultados – Os resultados mostraram a influência positiva dos valores sociais na orientação à inovação social, levando em consideração a influência dos interesses financeiros. A orientação à inovação social, a atitude empreendedora social, a autoeficácia empreendedora e as normas subjetivas foram identificadas como preditoras da intenção empreendedora social. Contribuições – O artigo oferece informações úteis sobre a importância dos valores para a compreensão da orientação à inovação social e a intenção empreendedora social.
